News From the Sun Bow Front:
2010 is already a year for talks and presentations.
January 16th we gave a talk at the Textile Museum on Superstitions, Customs and Beliefs
amongst the tribal & nomadic peoples of the Silk Road.
We called it "Small pieces as a window into the consciousness of tribal
peoples." And, brought over 100 examples in textile and bead work for
show and tell.
Pictures and a transcription of the talk are in the works and will be
up on our web page soonish.
Inshallah!
On March 6th (Saturday - early evening) I will be reprising this talk
(with additional materials) to the Kansas City Rug Society.
All the pieces exhibited are a part of Sun Bow's private collection.
Many will be shown for the first time.
If you are in the 'Heartland' and are interested in attending, please
contact us, and we will be happy to give you contact information.
If you are in Charlottesville, please do come to visit. We have hot
tea to serve, and many stories to tell.
all best wishes
