A traditional Mevlevi Dervish ensemble, including the musicians, dancers, and Shiekhs
These were created in the 1970's by an ancient in the Istanbul Covered Bazaar. He did all the sewing himself, using old traditional fabrics, and created the faces and hands himself.
I collected them in 1978, and this is their first public offering.
On a further note: This art form is long gone, and has been replaced by plastic, and imported dolls - mostly from China.
